Loving My Cats and Dog....

It has been a month of vet bills with one of my cats and my dog.  Just like many of us these little guys are suffering from seasonal allergies; from loosing their hair to skin conditions.  It is always hard getting the dog to the vet because Magoo is blind and has the characteristics of being autistic.

Our vet is so wonderful and luckily I had just the right stamp set to create the perfect "Thank You" card for him.

The list of supplies is at the end of this post.

Excitement is building as we draw closer to the beginning of June and the new catalog release.  If you would like a copy and do not already have a demonstrator that you are working with I would love to send you one and earn your business.

Taking a Stroll Down Magnolia Lane.....

Today instead of creating the way I usually do....I decided to take a stroll down Magnolia Lane and alter a candle that I had out on my table....just a plain white pillar that needed something to bring it to life......

so....I altered that candle with the beautiful up and coming collection from Stampin' Up!

It i such a quick and easy project that brings a bit of extra beauty to that plain white candle...

First I stamped the image with gray stazon ink.....I was going to use black but I wanted it to look a bit as if it was colored with no lines....

than I colored the image....for this image I used my Copics....but the SU blends will work just as well for this as image as well as any stamped image....

next I attached  (with tape so it wouldn't catch in the printer) a piece of tracing paper to a sheet of card stock and copied that colored image right onto that tracing paper.....

now to fussy cut....I know this image has a cutting die but I wanted to cut as close to the edge of the image as I could....

Place that image on the candle where you want it.....and take a piece of wax paper.....long enough to wrap around your candle and hold the image in place....

now get out your heat gun and begin heating the image.....very carefully......until you see a color change under that wax paper....you don't want to actually melt the candle till it is dripping....you just want that image to become part of that very first thin layer of the candle.....heat it nice and slow......going back and forth over that image......it doesn't take long.

Remove the wax paper.....and there you have a beautiful image right on the side of your plain white candle....or any color candle but remember the color of the candle will blend with the colors of your image.....so I like to stick to white and off white...

Sure do hope you enjoyed this creation today......I would love to be your  SU demonstrator if you don't already have one......

Who Says you Have to follow Directions!

Hello my crafty friends and welcome back to Gal Friday Stamping!

The beginning of the week I posted the finished April Paper Pumpkin Kit......for a very low monthly price I created 9 cards.......everything was included in the kit right down to the Dimensionals and glue dots........there was nothing else I needed other than a stamp block, and my bone folder.

Right now I am waiting for the release of the May’s Special Paper Pumpkin box....will share the completed projects once it comes......

Which brings me to......Who says you always need to follow the directions....just because I created all the cards in PP for April following the directions.....doesn’t mean I have to shove that box on the back of a shelf...I used those stamps and left over supplies to create another card....

It is the one at the top of the post....

Thank you so much for taking the time to read....I would love to be able to assist you in any way I can ....and I would love to earn your business as your Stampin' Up! demonstrator....
