This is the I want it all craft box. Receive everything you need (including a PDF tutorial) to create this Christmas shadow box. This option includes the stamp set and dies (value $54.00), an 8 x 8 shadow box frame, container of glitter and elements needed to create the scene. 2021 Mini Catalog Release

Happy Monday! Can you believe it is August already? Where has the summer gone. Thankfully it is a bit cooler here today. The most important thing readying for the 2021 Mini Catalog Release. If you are not working with a demonstrator and would like a catalog please send me an email at galfridaystamping@yahoo.com.

I wanted to create something quick and easy today because Monday’s are always so busy. Today is especially busy because yesterday I disconnected from technology and all that I usually do. I needed to pull myself back together with all the stress that has been building up inside. But it is Monday and I have no time to wallow in it anymore.

So how simple is this card?

I always need “thank you” cards and to be able to create quick and easy cards is a must. So when I saw this technique using the Soft Pastels, I knew I had to try it! The flower colors are so soft and it was as easy as can be to create. If you are around tomorrow I will be jumping online to demonstrate just how easy this technique is. Keep an eye out or join me in Gal Friday Stamping Group so you too can learn this technique.

This is the clean and simple card I need and I am able to produce many.

I didn’t even forget the inside. Just one simple flower on the inside using the same technique.

This stamp set will be Free during Sale-a-Bration. It is a beautiful stamp set and it can be yours with a $50 purchase.

Great Tidings Bundle from Stampin' Up!

Another week down and I am back again with another Christmas card to finish up my Christmas in July. My Christmas stash has a wide variety of cards this year and I think I will have enough to send out this holiday season. Today, let’s take a look at a bundle being released with the Mini Catalog. Release date is Aug. 3rd. Are you getting excited? I am and that is why today I have created with the Great Tidings Bundle. This bundle has a stamp set that included 10 cling stamps. It also has a matching die set called Wise Men Tidings. I see many possibilities with this set.

The sky was blended with Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy and a blending brush. I blended several layers to the front of the card leaving less color on the horizon. For the stars, I watered down our white ink and stippled the dots with a paint brush. Once those dots were dry, I used a gel pen to whiten them up and added lines to give the illusion that the stars are shining.

I stamped and embossed the wise men and water colored them.

Just a quick and easy Christmas card by blending, water coloring and embossing.

COLOR PALETTE

The colors below have the colors used on their garments included.

Of course I did not forget the inside of the card. I just added stamped image into each corner.

An Alternative to Gold Foil ~ Live Tonight!

Happy Thursday! Where did this week go? It seems we just spent a Thursday night together. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. After creating a few cards this morning, I finally came up with a few projects for tonight's live. I will be creating cards using an alternative to gold foil. When you have many cards to create, it can get a bit expensive using gold foil. So here is what I did in place of using gold foil. Tonight's projects were inspired by the Paper Pixie and the Songbird Stamper.

My alternative to gold foil is using the gold leafing. There are many ways to apply the gold leafing and I will show you a couple of ways to use it tonight.

Color Palette

Let's take a look at tonight's projects.

A quick and easy way to create a gold frame with the gold leafing is going to shown tonight. I also added gold to the layer on the flower on the inside of the card.

The technique used on the first card is also used on the second card with and additional technique using the gold leafing. For the inside I added the designer series paper that will be released with the Mini Catalog.

This little explosion box was inspired by Paper Pixie and is a cute addition to the cards created.

A Returning Favorite ~ Snow Wonder

Excitement is growing as the release of the New Mini Catalog is approaching. It is such an exciting time of the year because with each $50 purchase you receive free product from a select group of products. This group of free products are in the Sale-a-Bration catalog. One new release, included in the Mini Catalog is a returning favorite ~ Snow Wonder.

I created a card with this stamp set yesterday. I stamped the images on white card stock and added monochromatic color with Soft Suede and Crumb Cake. Today, I did just the opposite. I used Crumb Cake card stock and added white and a touch of color.

I masked the snowman to add the trees to the background and used the White Stampin' Chalk marker to add the white. To add the color, I used Prisma colored pencils.

Color Palette

This stamp also has matching dies. The die used for the sentiment is one and the snowflakes on the inside of the card. The snowflake die works as an embossing folder. Embossing the snowflakes very subtly.
