Junes Paper Pumpkin

For Junes Paper Pumpkin I decided to stick to the instructions for the 4 different styles of the total 16 cards in this months kit.  I am going to utilize the cute little pouch to hold these 4 cards in my pocketbook so they are at the ready when I feel the need to pass them on.

I didn't even use the adorable stamps that came with the set other than the sentiments, so it will be fun to see what I can create.

The 16 cards included in the kit are gift card sized cards and will be nice to leave on the table at a restaurant for the waitress....slip it into the mailbox of a neighbor or just to hand to the cashier at the local grocery.

It has Been a Paper Pumpkin Few Days

So I finally had a chance to play with all this crafty goodness from May's Paper Pumpkin kit.  Just look at all the fabulous elements were in the kit this month.
Beautiful envelopes, cards, ribbon, twine, labels, bird charms, pre-cut paper elements......so many wondrous things.  Enough supplies to make a total of 12 cards.

I didn't do anything beyond following this months instructions....maybe a bit later in the month.  But here are the four different designs that can be created.....and you get 3 of each.  It certainly would be a lovely gift set by just creating a box for them....

Floral Essence

I am head over heals in love with the products in this new catalog.  This week I have been creating with the new Floral Essence Bundle....and it actually comes in a bundle or the Perennial Essence Suite.

This card and little notebook holder is what I have created today.

I created the card by Stamping one of the florals from the stamp set and did a bit fussy cutting.  Stamped and cut out my sentiment and used the leaf die and sentiment frame die from the retired Wonderful Romance Bundle.

For the little notebook holder I followed the same technique as in creating the card to make it a
matching set.

I am very sorry that the organza ribbon is no longer available but the new catalog has beautiful new ribbons to match the In Colors...

Let Me Introduce Myself (Being Brutally Honest)

Some days I want to sail away......but......

For me I have always thought that relationships have to be built on trust....so that is the reason for my post today.....

I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself,  My name is Jane Proffitt...I know many of you have seen me around social media but I am sure, to you,  I am just a name and I want you to know who I am....

I was born and raised in New York on Long Island.  I am married, and actually have a few divorces under my belt,  but those broken marriages brought me 4 beautiful children whom I love dearly.
Pete, Heather, Amanda and Emma......and these four have given me more loves of my life....3 grandsons and 2 grand daughters.  Unfortunately, I do not see them that often because there are so many miles between us, they are all very busy and I am not at liberty to travel all that often, which brings me to my life....

If you have stuck with me this far....thank you

I married Bill in October 2007.....and moved to Pennsylvania, leaving a home that I knew very well.

We met in April 2007 thru E Harmony, for those that are not familiar...it is an online dating service.  We corresponded thru this service for about a month and before we allowed ourselves to go any further, we met in person in May of 2007.  Being a little apprehensive (it was his decision to meet in person....I was on Long Island and he in Pennsylvania) we decided to meet at a location away from where I lived......long story short.....we met, he visited every weekend and we got married in October the same year.

November came and we decided to go to school to become truck drivers...it had been on my bucket list since the 6th grade.  So from November 2007 until Feb. of 2009 we lived on the road, in the cab of a tractor.  Let me just say that if you can survive life with a spouse in the cab of a truck during the first year of marriage, you can survive anything....lol

We had our ups and downs, like any marriage, and Bills health started to fade in 2012 due to his heart...after moving several times between 2012 and 2014 I decided I couldn't move any more and made the decision that we had to do something to prepare for the worst.  If I was going to be left a widow, I needed to know that I would have a place I could call my own and be able to take care of it by myself.....so we bought a mobile home. That was 2015....

My decision of purchasing a mobile home was the best decision I have ever made.....because 7 months (July of 2015) later, Bill had an attack of  vertigo which began a down hill health episode that has lasted and is still happening now as I write this....

All that is involved in running a household,  taking care of an ill husband, a dog and 4 cats had fallen into my lap....a one woman wrecking crew....it can be overwhelming some days...but card making and crafts has kept my sanity.  So if I don't post for a few days, this is why...and I apologize.

So, in January 2019, I decided to become an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator to help with my income when I am alone (I am too young to collect Bill's Social Security Income).
