It is Day 3 In the Craft Room

Welcome back to Jane's craft room.  As you know this week I am showcasing the Dove of Hope bundle.  I showcase these stamps this week because I think "We the People" need lots of hope, peace and love.  So, come on in and lets take a look.

The Dove of Hope bundle is a bundle of peace, love and hope for us all.  With this set you can combine images and sentiments to create gift tags, cards or any project you like.  There are 9 stamps in the set with 11 dies.   

For today's project I wanted to focus on the sentiment "Peace on Earth".  Because as you know words can paint a picture and sometimes we forget to add sentiments.  For me, it is always a matter of where to put that label with the stamped sentiment.  But not today.  Today I wanted to step away from creating and card and really get into the beauty of products and create a canvas that I can look at each and every day that I step into my craft room.

I am not one to create mixed media projects, but when I saw this stamp set I knew just what I wanted to do and here is the finished project.  

Today, I am going to finish the sentiment by saying....Peace on Earth and Good Will towards Men.

This canvas is 8 x 8 and it is painted in blues, turquoise and purples.  It is embellished with elements found in my craft room.  The sentiment was cut with the layering ovals and the dove is in Whisper White and the balmy blue glitter paper from the Snowflake Splendor collection.  The ribbon is also from this collection.
