Don't Stop Believin' from Stampin' Up!

Don't Stop Believin' Stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Welcome back to Gal Friday Stamping.  This week's stamp set showcase is going in a different direction.  Since we are now at the end of November I am going to create Christmas cards all week using different sets in my collection.  Today I am starting with the stamp set Don't Stop Believin'.

I wanted to have a bit of fun with the Don't Stop Believin' stamp set.  I started out by stamping the image on Whisper White card stock with a memento black stamp pad.  After stamping the image, I colored his skin with Stampin' Blends.  For his suit, I stamped the image again but this time on the Red Velvet paper.  After allowing it to dry I fussy cut his hat and suit to paper piece it to the original image that I stamped.  Next I glued pieces of a cotton ball to the hat, sleeve and pompom.

He looks so handsome and gives him some life.  It was a fun way to use this Santa stamp.  To focus on the Santa on the front of the card I die cut a frame from the Ornate Layers dies, ran him thru the Cut & Emboss machine with the scallop oval.  I also layered Santa on a layer of Gold die cut from an oval die.

The card base was created using Whisper White, Real Red card stock with a layer of designer series paper from the Most Wonderful World Product Medley kit.

Don't forget the inside of the card.  I layered the inside of this card with Real Red and a layer of Whisper White.  On the Whisper White there are embossed snowflakes in gold.  I also fussy cut some of the packages from the same designer series paper that was used on the front of the card and layered them inside.  The sentiment is stamped in Real Red.
