Monochromatic Sweetest Time from Stampin' Up!

It's FRI.....DAYYYYYYY! We made it to the end of the week with the Sweetest Time stamp set and matching dies from Stampin' Up! Today's card is a monochromatic card using the Sweetest Time stamp set.

I had said during the week, do not let your stamp sets sit on a shelf and collect dust.  Pull those sets out and start creating.  The possibilities of designs are endless.  I only scratched the surface this week using the Sweetest Time stamp set.

Today's card uses Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight and a touch of silver.  I also threw in a layer of Brightly Gleaming Specialty designer series paper.

The background for the candle was created by blending Misty Moonlight in several layers to get just the right amount of color and leaving the center of the layer white.  I than sprinkled water using a paint brush to get the water blotches.  Just another technique that makes the card your own.

You will notice that I also added a wick to the flame.  Just another added element in creating a card filled with love and attention.  And remember, don't forget the inside.  It doesn't need to be fancy or over the top all the time, just decorated to match the outside of the card.

Here is a list of all the products I used to create this card.  Check out my YouTube channel to see how I created the shadowing on the candle by using Stampin' blends...it is the video "Don't let your stamp sets gather dust."

There is still time to get this amazing stamp set from the 2020 August-December Mini Catalog. You can see all the products I used in creating this card in the link above.

Have a beautiful day! ~ Jane
