"You're Kind of a Big Deal"

The Whale Done stamp bundle from Stampin' Up! includes a stamp set and a punch.  There is also a suite available for this set which includes the designer series paper, an embossing folder, ribbon and sequins making card making easy.  Today's card features the sentiment, "You're kind of a Big Deal."

Schools of fish, a stamped whale colored with blends, beautiful grasses and fun with an embossing folder are featured on today's card.

I started off with Coastal Cabana card stock as my base followed by a layer of just coastal cabana.  If you know me I love layers.  Before adhering the designer series paper, I stamped some bubbles in Misty Moonlight and added a white dot with a gel pen to each bubble.  I than stamped a few schools of fish by stamping with bermuda bay.

Jumping to the next layer I grabbed some bermuda bay card stock, and some more coastal cabana card stock.  The bermuda bay card with be popped up onto the front of the card.  The coast cabana card stock I ran thru the cut & emboss machine with the matching embossing folder to this set.  Before adding my strip of paper to the embossing folder, I swished a layer of bermuda bay ink from the stamp pad so the embossing would stand out a bit.  I than adhered that to the strip.

For my whale, he was stamped and I used Stampin' Blends to add additional color and texture dots to bring him a bit more to life.  He was punched out using the coordinating punch.  Check out his water spout.  The water was created with vellum and colored with blends.

Layering ovals, sentiment and stamping the background of the scalloped oval added a bit more detail.  I finished it off by adding a few sequins.

You never want to leave the inside of the card plain.
