It is a Wild Wednesday Under the Sea

Gal Friday is still hanging out on the beach in her craft room today.  I think it is going to be a wild Wednesday as I await the coming storm.

As I mentioned yesterday, today we are suppose to be having a snow storm and they are calling for 20+ inches.  Fortunately we are right on the line of 20"+ and 10"+ so we will see what happens.  But what better way to stay warm and cozy while I wait than to hang out in my craft room and create.

Today I have changed up the large die that comes in the Sand & Sea suite and I also fussy cut some shells and ran it thru my cut & emboss machine individually to give some texture to the shells.

Check out that background!  I wanted something a bit wild and easy to create for the background instead of the designer series paper that comes with this set and I also added some gold flakes that will also be available in the new catalog.  Did I mention that the new catalog is amazing?

The background that is layered on a gold foil sheet is a alcohol and ink technique that I started out with this morning.  I used photo paper that comes in the ink cartridge packs for my printer.  It was a messy and fun technique that's for sure.

As for the die, I didn't want to cover that alcohol and ink layer so I strategically cut it in half and layered it onto the front of the card for some dimension.

Don't forget the inside.  Today I added an additional layer and added some bubbles on the left hand side.

If you are interested in purchasing this set at the end of the week I will be offering the cards created this week as a Class to Go.

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone and don't forget to follow me using the following links.
