Year in Reiew 2019....My favorite Projects

Wow! What a year!  Do you often wonder where the time goes?  I certainly do and here we are again saying "good-bye" to another year.  There is no looking in the rear view mirror, we must all move forward but I did enjoy looking over the different posts and projects from this past year and I chose one from each month of blog posts to highlight here today.  Don't worry, I really did only choose one from each month or we would be here all day!

Here are my favorites from 2019!

In MARCH, I was just starting my business and was doing lots behind the scenes.  I fell in love with this stamp set because I grew up by the water.  "Sitting by the Dock of the Bay" by Ottis Redding was a song I loved and this is the By the Bay Stamp Set.

In APRIL,  I decided to follow the very popular technique "floating frame" in which you used Press n' seal and offered a free PDF.  It was a fun technique.

In MAY, I love candles and when the Magnolia Lane Set was released I fell in love with that set too and decided to pair the two things I love.

In JUNE, the new catalog was released and there was the Floral Essence bundle.  A bit of fussy cutting, layers and my favorite go to colors at the time. 

In JULY, there was a need for some peaceful moments and a Peaceful Place during the month and was offered as a FREE PDF in my newsletter.

In AUGUST, did you ever consider a She Shed?  That is what I was thinking about this month when I first saw this stamp...also looks like those purples are still my go to colors.

In SEPTEMBER, uh oh there are those purples again! It was a tough month choosing but this was the first Class to Go I had created and it was my absolute favorite for the month using purples as a Christmas theme.

In OCTOBER, don't you just love snowmen?  Me too and I welcomed the winter season by using the Snowman Bundle!

In NOVEMBER, I wasn't sure which card to pick but decided to go with the Free As a Bird Bundle card and gift box only because this was my first FB live.....I remember how nervous I was!

DECEMBER.....the month isn't quite over and the Holidays were pretty crazy but I end the year with the Dressed to Impress Class to Go.  This was the toughest month of the year, both my husband and I got very sick.  I actually cancelled Christmas and all my craft making this month.

Most Wonderful Time Product Medley

Happy Monday and Welcome back to Gal Friday Stamping.

This week on my newsletter is this card using elements and stamps from the Most Wonderful Time Product Melody.  It is a product that didn't get much attention in the catalog and I certainly think it should have.  The set includes stamps, dies, 6 x 6 designer paper, 12 gold foil card fronts,  7 sticker sheets, gold & white tinsel trim, and 58 faceted stars.  A medley of goodness to create a multitude of cards and projects.

I wanted to create something a bit simpler and used just the smaller tree stamp in creating this card with a few of the stickers.

Snowman Season on Facebook Live

Welcome back to Gal Friday Stamping.....

Boy I have to say FB live is definitely a learning curve.  While I am setting everything up and making sure that everything is within reach there is always something that goes wrong.....but I am sure some day in the near future I will become more comfortable and all of these days will just be a memory.

Oh No Snow!

I don't know about you but when it comes to snow, I am not a big fan.  The first snow of the season is just fine.....it is so beautiful, it cleans the air and brings on the winter season....beyond that?  I would just rather not see it around.  I am just getting too old to shovel snow.

But on the other hand, I love snowmen.  "Frosty the Snowman" was always my favorite growing up and he still is as long as he is on television or.....like today.....on a card.

I Am a Messy Crafter

Welcome back to Gal Friday Stamping.....

I have been busy behind the scenes and I am hoping that my blog finds you all well...

I have a confession to make......I am a messy crafter!  When aI sit down at my desk to create just one card, I end up with a little 6x6 square to create on.....just enough room to work on my 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch card...lol....

How are you in the crafty room?  Are you neat, tidy and organized?  Or does it look like a bomb exploded while working and when you are done?

Well this week I decided to help myself out a bit with all the bits and pieces of trash that I 

collect...and sometimes deposit on the floor while crafting (hiding my head in shame) .....by creating a little trash box.....I know I could put my trash can under or closer to my work area but boy when I get focused, I need it right under my nose.....

So I decided to use the Perennial Essence Designer Series paper

It is just beautiful two sided paper......and I created a chip board container with pearl feet to keep on the corner of my desk for all those bits and pieces.....and than of course I had to add a card with matching paper.....

While I am waiting for my order of paper I have been playing with the Snowman Season Bundle using paper I have on hand....I just wanted to have a bit of a conversation with you....

I have set a goal and  a challenge instead of just talking about it every day.  Once I grow my group to 100+ I will start doing FB lives......I don't know what I was thinking?  lol.....boy that isn't really the right thing to say is it?  But I know that going live and interacting with everyone is just the thing I need.

Here is the second of the Gold and White Christmas cards I created this week.  This card is a shaker and has to be one of my favorite cards!  Probably because I am crazy about snow globes.

The Still Scenes of Winter....so serene.

I wanted to bring attention to the beautiful snow globe so again, I used white and gold.  Such a lovely set to create with.  Just remember if you are going to send these out that the postage will be a bit more because of the plastic dome.

No...Not Silver and Gold

I just love the look of all white cards with a bit of gold and that is just I have created this week.

 The stamping of the house and trees with the gold ink looks so much better in person....the light took away some of it's vibrancy.

But aren't they just so elegant with the perfect sentiment inside.
