What Does it Take to Create a Beautiful Card?

 

Welcome to my craft room this week as I showcase the Gorgeous Posies Stamp Set.  Did you know that it really does not take much to create a beautiful card.  Lets take a look at this stamp set.

Gorgeous Posies stamp set is a beautiful, floral stamp set.  The focus is on the posie in this stamp set.  I believe the reason why is that this stamp set coordinates with a card kit that you can purchase separately.  

This Gorgeous Posies Card kit comes with everything you need to create beautiful cards but does not include the stamp set, which you can purchase separately.  The card kit is a beautiful set and as you can see includes a variety of  items to create with.  I did not purchase the card kit.  One of the reasons is that I love to be able to create without ready to go kits, but I did love the stamp set.

See how beautiful the stamps are in this set?  That is why I decided to showcase this stamp set.

If you have seen my videos or follow me, you will see that I love to create with lots of layers and this card is not different.  This card has a traditional sized card base.  I add another layer on the front either in the same color or a contrasting colors.  For this card I used the same color as the card base.

The Whisper White layer was stamped and added next.   Before adhering this layer to the card base I popped up a Detailed Band die and tucked the tab under this layer, added the sentiment, fussy cut a flower and leaf that I had stamped.  Don't forget that bow!

When it comes to the inside of the card, I love to tie the inside to the outside of the card.  I always add another layer either the same color as the card base or a contrasting color.  It really depends on what I did on the outside of the card.  Just some #simplestamping on the whisper white, adhered to the other layer and tied with a bit of twine.

Does it take extra postage to send my cards?  Yes it does most of the time.  But I feel that I put so much work into my cards it is worth the extra postage.
