Welcome to a new series of cards that I will be creating! Simple Saturday.
For those of you that follow me day after day and week after week, you know that I post cards daily in what I call my weekly showcase. I focus on one stamp set and create a different card each day with the same stamp set. What I didn't realize is that I haven't really been focusing on those that are new to card making and the cards I post can sometimes be a bit overwhelming.
So welcome to Simple Saturday.
Each Saturday I will create a simple card that can be created with products you have on hand. Remember you can always use the same layout but use a stamp set you have already. For those new card makers, there is no need to have it all!
Today's card was created with less than one sheet of card stock, a few scraps and one stamp set. I even fussy cut the Christmas tree even though there is a die set that comes with this set. Simple, elegant and quick. This is the type of card that would be so easy to create for those of you that send out many cards during the holiday season.
Notice though that I still created this cards with the layers that I love. To me it just adds a finished look.
And don't forget the inside. For this card I decided to put the sentiment on the inside leaving enough space for you to write your special message.
So do not get discouraged if you are just starting out, and for those of you that have been card making for years, don't forget that simple is also beautiful.
