2021 Mini Catalog Release

Happy Monday! Can you believe it is August already? Where has the summer gone. Thankfully it is a bit cooler here today. The most important thing readying for the 2021 Mini Catalog Release. I wanted to create something quick and easy today because Monday’s are always so busy. Today is especially busy because yesterday I disconnected from technology and all that I usually do. I needed to pull myself back together with all the stress that has been building up inside. But it is Monday and I have no time to wallow in it anymore.

So how simple is this card?

I always need “thank you” cards and to be able to create quick and easy cards is a must. So when I saw this technique using the Soft Pastels, I knew I had to try it! The flower colors are so soft and it was as easy as can be to create. If you are around tomorrow I will be jumping online to demonstrate just how easy this technique is. This is the clean and simple card I need and I am able to produce many.

I didn’t even forget the inside. Just one simple flower on the inside using the same technique.

A Returning Favorite ~ Snow Wonder

Excitement is growing as the release of the New Mini Catalog is approaching. It is such an exciting time of the year because with each $50 purchase you receive free product from a select group of products. This group of free products are in the Sale-a-Bration catalog. One new release, included in the Mini Catalog is a returning favorite ~ Snow Wonder.

I created a card with this stamp set yesterday. I stamped the images on white card stock and added monochromatic color with Soft Suede and Crumb Cake. Today, I did just the opposite. I used Crumb Cake card stock and added white and a touch of color.

I masked the snowman to add the trees to the background and used the White Stampin' Chalk marker to add the white. To add the color, I used Prisma colored pencils.

This stamp also has matching dies. The die used for the sentiment is one and the snowflakes on the inside of the card. The snowflake die works as an embossing folder. Embossing the snowflakes very subtly.

One Last Delicate Dahlias Card

Boy, the weekend went fast. It seems that it was just Friday and now we are back to Monday and another new week. I wanted to created one last card with Delicate Dahlia's before I move on to another stamp set that will be released with the Mini Catalog.

Curiosity got to me and the reason I created this card today. I wanted to see what this stamp would look like in Basic Black and I am loving the dimension that this stamp creates. I did not use the outline stamp, I just used the stamp that adds color.

Those three partly stamped flowers are on the background layer. The fourth flower is stamped, fussy cut and popped up onto the front of the card. You can't tell by the photo, but there is a layer of silver foil.

I kept the inside of the card simple and used the outline stamp for the inside. We must never forget the inside. The silver cord is from the Simply Elegant suite.

I am going to age myself....but hey.....that is okay.

By when I saw this stamp set I thought about growing up near the water and the sone "Sitting by the Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding.
