Honey Bee FB Live

Thank you all who joined me today on FB as I created these two projects.

The card and purse is a quick and easy project to create using the Honey Bee Bundle and the Golden Honey DSP.
Unfortunately, the DSP has been sold out during Sale-A-Bration, so I am offering a free 6 x 6 sampler of the paper just for sharing my video.
Winner will be chosen tomorrow.

As promised here is the PDF for creating these projects.

I Bet You Didn't Know

Welcome back to Sunday Secrets.....

Hope all my crafty friends are doing well.  I have been laying low here in PA.  keeping myself busy and dealing with all that is happening one day at a time.

I bet you didn't know that Stampin' Up! has storage cubes for organizing your ink, blends, markers and accessories.

They are completely customizable and affordable modular storage cubes that will straighten up your craft area and create a space that will make your crafty time more fun and efficient.

But I am sure that you have some questions regarding these little cubes....

Will the old Stampin' Up! ink pads fit in these cubes?

No...these cubes were designed with the new ink pads in mind.  But you can use the Open Storage Cube for the older style ink pads.

Can I mix and match the cubes?

Absolutely!  These cubes are modular and designed to stack in any space in mind.  If your space is long and low or your space is limited.  You can rearrange these cubes any way you like.

Why is there an Open Storage Cube?

The open storage cube can be used for those older stamp pads or for any other miscellaneous items that you want to organize like ribbon, embossing powder and embellishments.

Can these cube be mounted on the wall?

These cubes were were designed to sit on a table or a shelf.  Drilling holes in these cubes is not recommended.

How high can these cubes be stacked?

You can stack these little cubes pretty high without any issues but I would recommend stacking too high.  They are very sturdy but the higher you stack (like anything) the less stable they become.

Sunday Secrets....

Good morning all my crafty friends!  I am back with another Sunday Secret post.

I have to be honest, this wasn't the post that I was prepared to create today.  But I was nudged to go in a completely different direction.

I don't know about you but I am having a hard time getting my head screwed on straight since the explosion of this virus.  My life hasn't changed with the closing of the businesses and everyone being advised to stay home,  that is my life normally so what is it that is bothering me to the point that I can not get motivated?

I am only a small cog and the world is falling apart around me.  I worry that if I was to go pick something up from the store I will come in contact with someone that doesn't even know they have this "thing" and bring it home to my husband, so I am limiting my venturing to running out just once a week.

But hey!  We have been through tough times before over the span of history and there have been worse things that others have experienced.

Here is my concern.....we are distancing ourselves, quarantining and staying hidden from the outside world.  But we are still connected thru internet, the news media, radio broadcasts and watching closely to the breaking news.  Leaving us vulnerable to mental stressors  and all those things that feed off our fear.  Let me just say....

I am guilty of doing all those things and at the same time know that it doesn't have to be that way.

So starting today, I am going to create a safe space for myself and I suggest that you do the same.

Don't click on the news or check out the latest numbers several times a day.

Take time every day to reach for those crafty items and create.

Learn that card technique you always wanted to try but never had the time.

🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵

Turn on your favorite music and escape the madness around us. Take this valuable time we have been given (especially those that are on lock down), to do all those things that you wish you had time to do.  I know we all say it at least once a week...."I wish I had more time to....."  fill in the blank.  Instead of looking at this time as a burden and focusing on the negative aspect on all that is happening, take advantage of this wonderful gift of time.

Free PDF for A Desk Caddy

You may remember, last week's free PDF was a glue caddy to clear up some of the mess on my desk.  This is the desk mate to that caddy...here they are here....

If you are anything like me, I seem to lose things on my desk whenever I am crafting...and most of the time the things aren't lost they are right there in front of me.
So I decided to create these 2 items to make some sense of all the things that I need when creating.  If you would like to create this second creation
sign up for my newsletter.....

If you missed last weeks free PDF just drop me a note via messenger or my FB Group
I would love to send it to you so you have a matching set!

Gal Friday's Sunday Secrets 3

My Story

If you have been visiting and reading my Sunday Secrets the last few weeks, thank you. Welcome to more about me.

I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. Have a younger sister and older brother. I played the middle child well as a people pleaser. Our home growing up was loving and we always had pets. Although we stayed on Long Island we moved from my childhood home in my senior year of high school.

I held many jobs which started with babysitting when I was 13. At the age of 16 I was a front end manager in Foodtown, the local grocery store. I was also a Deli manager, secretary for an attorney and in charge of a corporation which owned gas stations. When my children were born (I have 4) I prepared taxes, managed a small grocery store and did data entry. These last 10 years brought managing a campground and becoming a cross country truck driver. I was a jack of all trades. Having so many jobs has helped me become the person I am today.

Being married more than once created turmoil over the years. There was no way that I could live in abusive marriages. In 2007, I remarried...(and this will be the last marriage!). We met thru E-Harmony and moved to Pennsylvania to live on a farm for a while with our miniature horses, dogs, goats, chickens and cats. We recently purchased a small home because my husbands health has been declining and I am now a caretaker. Being a caretaker is the hardest job I have ever held.

Crafting and Stampin' Up! keeps my sanity, no Sunday Secret there! My life has never been busier but I love the people I have met along the way.

Gal Friday Stamping Sunday Secret 2

I think I have told you before but I will tell you again because Paper Pumpkin is the monthly craft box that is a must have.

It is a monthly subscription that comes to your mailbox every month and you never know what surprises it has in store for you.  There have been months that they contained cards, tags or 3D projects, there have been other months that they contained products that coordinated with an upcoming holiday, season or a stamp set already in the catalog.

You get an instruction sheet in the box and also a link to a video on how to assemble.... so you can craft along.

If you are just beginning your card making journey, Paper Pumpkin is the place to start....why you ask?

GREAT WAY TO BUILD YOUR STAMP COLLECTION

Each and every month you get a new stamp set in the box.  There are sentiments, great images.  You can also download a an insert for a stamp case from the Paper Pumpkin website and put them on you shelf, never forgetting where the set came from.  The fun part is, when you receive your first monthly box, it contains a clear block to mount your stamps....

BUILD YOUR INK COLLECTION

This monthly box also contains one or more ink spots....a small 1 x 1 ink pad in a coordinating color for that months project.  The amazing thing is that they never repeat the inks within a given year, so at the end of the 12 month subscription you will have 12 new ink spots of color.  It is a great way to sample the colors before you buy the full size ink pad.

BE CREATIVE

This little box of happiness is a great way to be creative each and every month.  You can follow the instruction sheet to the letter or change them up to suit your style and needs.  The choice is yours and you can let your creativity go wild!

SAVE TIME....HAVE FUN....

No need to search your craft area for those items you need to create just the right card.  Open your little orange box, grab that cup of coffee/tea and start creating.....everything you need is right in the box.  Tell your friends to subscribe and get together each and every month to craft together for a leisurely Girls Night Out!
