I has been a tough the last few days and I fell behind doing my year in review of my favorite cards. So today, Gal Friday Stamping is celebrating New Years Eve showcasing the last half of this years favorite cards.

Today I have another card using the Dragonfly Garden bundle by Stampin' Up!  The colors are not as bright and bold as I usually create.

Midway thru the Year

A Year in Review

It is hard to believe that we have made it to the end of the year.  It has been a rough one for many of us but thankfully I have my business and my craft to keep my mind busy.  So I will start today with a year in review.

I am Obsessed with the Die From Sand & Sea from Stampin' Up!

It is simple Saturday here in Gal Friday Stamping's craft room today!  What I have discovered as I was sitting at my desk creating for today, "I am Obsessed with the background die from the Sand & Sea Suite!"

I have been creating cards all week with the not yet released Sand & Sea Suite.  I am loving the versatility of this stamp set.  It allows me to conger up some amazing memories from my childhood since I grew up near the beach and spent almost every day at the beach during the summer.

Happy Friday!  Today's card is all about friends, because they are like seashells that you collect along the way.

Both cards are very similar but here are different technique's used on each one.  One card I used an alcohol and ink technique.  The other card I used the background die in a different way.  Same products, two different looks.

Sand & Sea from Stampin' Up!

It is a winter wonderland outside today after the storm but it is still warm and toasty at the beach in my craft room creating with the Sand & Sea Suite from Stampin' Up!

It is a Wild Wednesday Under the Sea

Gal Friday is still hanging out on the beach in her craft room today.  I think it is going to be a wild Wednesday as I await the coming storm.

She Sells Sea Shells

Gal Friday is at the beach again today!  While stamping this card today I kept thinking about that childhood rhyme, "she sells seashells down by the seashore."  This set is keeping me warm this week as the snow storm starts to develop and is headed  us tomorrow.

We made it to Friday!  Yay! So let's shake things up a bit with a  beautiful shaker card sing the Still Scenes stamp set and matching dies.

The Winter Woods stamp set is just beautiful.  I love trees and stamping with this stamp set for today's card made me so very happy.

Today's card pulls in the Poinsettia Petals bundle with the Feels Like Frost designer series paper in creating this beautiful yet simple card.

I am always amazed of the quiet and stillness after a snow fall.  The stark, brownish surroundings are all now white with snow.

Today I wanted to have some fun and creative something that will bring wonder and excitement to the recipients eyes.  We don't always have to create cards we can also create 3D projects that are useful in gift giving because sometimes the packaging should be just as fun as the gift.

Today we are going to continue with the Red and Gold theme.  Traditional colors of Christmas are so very rich and beautiful.

Today's card was created using the Toile Christmas cling stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I also included the red foil specialty paper and die cut it with the Ornate Layers die.  Let's take a look.

Decided to have a little fun at the end of the week using the Bird & Branches stamp bundle.  No birds are on the card, just a nest full of unhatched eggs with a sentiment "The world needs more of you!"  How great is that?

Heading back under the sea today with a smaller 4 x 4 card.  This card was inspired by Mixed Up Crafts and I made it  my own.  I have been having so much fun! Wait till you see what is inside.

Gosh, I am having so much fun creating with the Whale Done stamp set and matching punch.  Today I am using elements from the suite that is also available with this set.

The Whale Done stamp bundle from Stampin' Up! includes a stamp set and a punch.  There is also a suite available for this set which includes the designer series paper, an embossing folder, ribbon and sequins making card making easy.  Today's card features the sentiment, "You're kind of a Big Deal."

Wow!  The brightly gleaming specialty designer series paper along with the pretty peacock card stock along with the Sweetest Time stamp set makes such an elegant card.

When you saw yesterday's card using the Sweetest Time stamp bundle, I bet you never thought that there would be candles in that bundle also!  Well there are as you can see in the card above.  But what I did after stamping the trio of candles is fussy cut them to use just one of the candles to highlight.

Goodness me!  Did you ever purchase a stamp set and it began collecting dust in your craft room because you just didn't know what to create with it?  That is what happened to me with the Sweetest Time bundle from Stampin' Up!
